Moving In and Out
Key Principles
Protect common property from damage
Minimise disruption to fellow residents
Notice
Residents moving into or out of Queensboro must advise the Strata Committee via the Strata Manager (see Building Management for contact details) at least 48 hours prior to the move. This will enable the Strata Committee to ensure that the move is conducted with maximum protection of common property and minimum disruption to fellow residents. It will also enable those moving, time to make the necessary arrangements for the move e.g. lift key and installation of protective lift curtains.
Timing
Moves should preferably take place on weekdays between 9.00am and 5.00pm. Moves taking place within these times will minimise disruption to other residents.
Protection of Common Property
Taking the following steps will help reduce any potential damage to common property:
Lift curtains and a lift floor mat are available to protect the interior of the lift
Furniture and goods should be lifted; not hauled across carpets
Care should be taken with any liquids to avoid spillage (e.g. pot plants)
Care should be taken in doorways to protect paintwork
Special care should be taken with the sliding glass entry door that must not be propped open
Lift Key
To facilitate the move, a lift key is available from the Strata Committee if required.
Keys
Please see the section in the Residents Guide on Security and Access regarding keys.
Building Front Door
The sliding glass front door of the building must not be propped open during the moving process. Security of the building for all residents is paramount and should not be compromised by leaving the door open for periods when unattended by a bona fide resident.
Notification to the Strata Manager
New residents should notify the building Strata Manager of their residency and their contact details. See Building Management - Strata Manager section for contact details
